VisiAI ("we", "our", or "us"), a brand owned and operated by LEGROWTECH TECHNOLOGIES INC., operates the Socratic Buddy and related Chrome extensions, as well as the visiai.app web platform. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your personal information in compliance with the Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA) and the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

1. Google API Disclosure (Limited Use)

VisiAI's use and transfer to any other app of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Chrome Web Store User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. We do not use user data for advertising, nor do we sell your information to third-party data brokers.

2. Information We Collect

• Account data: Email address and password (via Supabase Auth) when you create an account.
• Language preference: Your selected language (English or French), stored locally in your browser.
• Usage data: Daily usage counts for AI interactions to manage tier limits.
• Screenshots (transient): When you use the "Snip" or "Watchdog" features, the captured visual data is processed in-memory. These images are never stored on our servers. They are sent directly to Google Gemini for analysis and are discarded immediately after the AI response is generated.

3. How We Use Your Information

• To provide and improve our AI-powered learning and design features.
• To authenticate your account and manage your subscription tier.
• To enforce daily usage limits on the free tier.
• To comply with applicable laws and regulations.

4. Data Sharing & AI Processing

We do not sell your personal data. Screenshots and text queries are processed by Google Gemini (Google LLC).

Note: Users on our "Free Tier" should be aware that data submitted to Google Gemini may be used by Google to improve their models according to Google's Privacy Policy. We recommend users avoid capturing sensitive personal information (passwords, financial records) in screenshots.

5. Data Retention & Deletion

Account data is retained while your account is active. Upon account deletion, data is removed within 30 days. Screenshots are never retained — they exist only for the duration of the API call (typically 1–3 seconds).

6. Children's Privacy

VisiAI is suitable for students. Users under 13 must obtain verifiable parental consent. We do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under 13 without such consent. Contact privacy@visiai.app to report unauthorized data collection.
